When do claims related to participation in gambling expire?

If we participate in bookmakers , both us, the players and the bookmaker apply specific game rules . The same applies to others gambling . Thanks to this, both parties (the player and the organizer of the game) have at their disposal a certain basis, thanks to which they can demand from the other party to take specific actions in certain situations. However, claims can be made only for a certain period of time, after which they are subject to limitation .

For example, if the player is correct bet the bookmaker is entitled to a fixed win. What if the agreed amount is not paid? Then he begins to have claims related to participation in a gambling game and he has the right to demand from its organizer the transfer of the won funds. However, as the "act of 19 November 2009 on gambling" specifies, these claims have their "validity period", i.e. they expire after 6 months from the due date . What does this mean in practice? A requirement is a situation where a specific entity, in our example bookmaker must satisfy its obligations to the other party to the contract, in this case the obligations to the player. Thus, If exactly 6 months have passed since the win occurred, and the player does not make a complaint about the lack of payment of winnings, he loses the right to claim in this matter. If, on the other hand, such complaint $revives within 6 months from the date of maturity, the limitation period for claims remains suspended until the day when the player receives a response from the bookmaker on the matter to which the claim relates.

Of course. claims can relate to many other issues , e.g. too low a payout amount, settlement of a bet as a loser, a situation where, according to the player, it should be settled as a winner, etc. The very mode of filing claims of players is determined by the Minister of Finance in a separate regulation.
